Training for Runners and Walkers
Forward Motion Spring 2018
Forward Motion is a 10-week program open to all women 16 years of age or order from walkers, to new runners, to experienced runners. Whatever your level is, there will be a group to keep you motivated and keep you in “forward motion!” The goal is for participants to be able to complete a 5k or improve their overall 5k time. Half Marathon Training
Half Marathon training programs are offered at various times throughout the year. They are 10 week programs that will train you to complete a specific half marathon. We offer group training runs twice a week. The weekday run is a shorter distance and we do a hill or speed workout together. The weekend run is a longer run to build endurance.
We offer a ten week 10k training program that will prepare you to complete the River Ramble Fall Classic in the upcoming Fall season. This program is aimed at runners who can complete a 5k and would like to gradually increase their distance. The training group will meet on Wednesdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 8 am at Ready Set Run for training runs.
For Runners Wishing to Improve Their Time
We will be offering some group workouts that include speed work for those runners that are looking to improve their time. These workout times will be posted on Facebook. This training will consist of track sprints and short tempo runs aimed at setting a new PR! Track workouts at East Stroudsburg University 6 PM.
